wonderful wanderings
Welcome to Amy Sterling Productions
Over the years, crowdsourcing has called for creative neurscience outreach, conveniently one of my favorite things in the world. Getting people curious and excited about the brain, the single most mysterious object in the universe? Count me in.
Here are the major art and technology experiences I have helped produce.
Have an idea for a collab? Send me a message!

Visitors wore HTC Vive devkits. An early use of hand controllers!

Neurons in Space
Virtual reality experience inviting visitors to fly through a field of neurons and then zoom out to space and explore a lifesized replica of the International Space Station (approved by Chris Hadfield!).
Visitors wore Oculus Rift devkits - this was pre-Facebook acquisition and before VR kids had hand controllers.
The exhibit also included a six-projector, 18 foot screen where visitors could maneuver giant 3D models of neurons using hand gestures and XBOX KINECT.
In partnership with Microsoft Research
Location: TED Conference, Vancouver BC
I write a Forbes Blog on Neuroscience and Data Visualization :)
